REGIONAL YOUTH SUPPORT SERVICES WINS YOUTH SERVICE OF THE YEAR AWARD!
On October 26th, 2017, Regional Youth Support Services, was awarded the New South Wales Youth Service of the Year Award. The NSW Youth Work Awards are an annual celebration of the exceptional work of youth services and youth workers in NSW.

The award was presented by Youth Action, the peak body organisation for youth in New South Wales, as a part of their annual Youth Work Award ceremony.

Kim McLoughry, Manager at RYSS spoke at the event, supported by Alex O'Neal, RYSS Operations Manager.

'31 years as an organisation, I have been there for 24 years, I was a young person myself when I started in the organisation!
young people and they help shape and support our Justice Programming, Indigenous Program and youth participation is so, so important. Our young people came down yesterday and presented on our BUS project for the Central Coast Region. Thank You!'

This award comes as pleasant sequel to the attendance of the RYSS BUS team at the youth conference 2 days previous where they were invited to be on a panel to discuss engagement of youth with NSW youth workers. Read more here...
I just want to congratulate the people in this room, for the work that they do. I'm really impressed with the calibre of this event in recognising the work in our community. We are the teachers, the nurses, the doctors and professions in our community and we save lives every day and do a really important job. I am very proud to be in a room with skilled practicioners and people who are truly passionate about what they do.
